The local vet caring for your pets

Growing up in the Northern Rivers, we are proud to offer veterinary services to our community. Life in a regional area is busy - let us make it easier by coming to you.

ABOUT THE PRACTICE

A familiar face who knows the region

Working in mixed animal practice since 2015, Laif has built a wealth of hands-on experience caring for all kinds or family members, from the cherished pets by your side to the working animals and livestock that are the heart of your property.

Born from a genuine love of rural life and the communities it sustains, this practice was built on a simple idea: you shouldn't have to travel hours for thoughtful, expert veterinary care. We bring the clinic to you.

"I grew up here. I know how hard people work, and I know how much their animals mean to them. This is why I do this."

FROM OUR CLIENTS

Dr. Laif's approach is calm and compassionate. He takes the time to observe my cats and chats to me about what's happening. He explains all the treatment options and helps me decide the right way forward. I'm so happy that Dr Laif now has his own independent vet practice and is able to visit us at home.

BVSC (HONS) - MIXED ANIMAL PRACTITIONER - LISMORE & NORTHERN RIVERS

Born in Byron Bay and raised on a hobby farm with a Dalmatian and a few cows, my love for animals and rural life started early. After finishing Woodlawn College in 2008 - where I met my beautiful wife - I went on to study Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland, graduating in 2014.

Following university, we moved to Nowra where I worked for several years, built lifelong friendships and welcomed our first family member: Jinka the German Shorthaired Pointer. We tied the knot shortly after and headed home to the Northern Rivers to start a family.

I have continued working in mixed practice across the region. Not long after moving home, our family grew again - first with Alfred the stray kitten with attitude, and then with our beautiful daughters, Maeve and Hallie. These days the girls keep us wonderfully busy - much to poor Jinky and Alfie's displeasure.

I'm proud to support the establishment of our local Veterinary School in an advisory capacity. Seeing the next generation of vets come through is exciting. This region deserves great veterinary care, and I'm committed to doing my part.
